LGPD

The Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) is a Brazilian privacy law that came into effect on September 18, 2020. While enforcement powers by the Brazilian DPA are postponed to August 1st, 2021, the LGPD can still be enforced by other governmental authorities, such as public prosecutors and consumer protection agencies, who can apply sanctions based on the Civil Code and the Consumer Protection Code.

In addition to the rights outlined in the Namecheap Privacy Policy, as a user located in Brazil, you may be able to exercise the following rights with respect to the personal information that we have collected, subject to certain limitations:

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and certain information about how we use it and who we share it with, including information about any public and private entities we have shared your personal data with.
